PMG Cars Garage

Fiat 500 Abarth Targa Polizia

The car is thus gray initially, but has been repainted, due to civilian safety.

Year 1964 Grigio (GRAY) with matching numbers.

In 1964, Italian police purchased two similar Fiat 500 Abarth, to be used to infiltrate the drug environment in and around Bologna and Macerata. One of the two cars is this Abarth. The car is equipped with three sets of Italian license plates:

Polizia 31 888
BO 72 9568
MC 18 2602

After approx. 10 years of service, the car was sold to a car mechanic in the year 1978.

The car mechanic sold the car to an Italian family who got the car fully restored by an Italian mechanic, who specializes in restoration of older Italian police cars. It was restored from 2015-2017.

Included with the car is an original letter from Italian police, as well as an envelope stating that the car must never drive around with the original color in public. This is because the police are afraid that an attack will be made against the car, and this could have consequences for civilians.

A book on the restoration is included, as well as various documentation.
